Brewery Smisje, formerly "Regenboog Brewery is a brewing capacity of
2000 liters per brew one of the smallest craft breweries in Belgium. It
was founded in 1995 by Johan Brandt and was located until 2008 in the
West Flanders Assebroek, a borough of the city of Bruges. Mainly because
of the lack of the necessary space for expansion (the brewing capacity
was limited to 320 liters per brew), moved the brewery in 2009 to Mater,
a borough of Oudenaarde. The move also brought
the official name change from Rainbow to Smisje with it. Was decided
all existing beers except Christmas beer to disappear from the range and
launch. Smiske is the new beer in 2010. The older Smisje beers,
however, were so valued that some people have a Facebook group set up
for the beers still to brew. At the request of the regular visitors
decision in 2011, the brewer also Smiske brown brew. |
