Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel

Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel is a Belgian beer brewed by Brouwerij De Halve Maan in Bruges.

In 1981 the "De Halve Maan" once brewed a special "punishment" top-fermented beer following the inauguration of a statue of Saint Arnold, the patron saint of brewers, in Bruges. The beer was named "Straffe Hendrik", after several generations Henri Maes, who ran the brewery, and became so successful that it is to produce permanent. The brand and the goodwill of Straffe Henry were taken over by Brouwerij Riva from Dentergem in 1988. Production in Bruges was greatly reduced, to end finally in 2002 and continuing.
