Tempelier

Tempelier is a Belgian beer. It is brewed by Brasserie du Bocq to Purnode commissioned Brewery Corsendonk Turnhout.

Tempelier existed long as beer. Traditionally, it was brewed by brewery Key from Betekom. When this brewery stopped, the beer disappeared. Later the name was released and began brewing Corsendonk back with the production of a Tempelier beer. However, this beer is different beer than the older ones. It has only the name in common.

Of course the name "Tempelier" refers to the Knights Templar, the military-religious order from the time of the Crusades. The Templar cross, a red cross on a white background, on the label of the beer.

Templar is a copper-colored high fermentation beer with an alcohol content of 6%. The beer was launched in June 2009.
